Magong (Makō, Makung) is a county-administered city and seat of Penghu County, Taiwan located on Penghu's main island, bordering Huxi Township to the east. It is the seat of Penghu County and the political, economic, cultural, and transportation center of the Penghu Islands. It covers an area of approximately 33.9918 square kilometers and has a population of about 63,000, with a density of over 1,800 people per square kilometer. It is the largest, most populous, and most densely populated administrative district in Penghu County.
