Tirumala is a temple town in Tirupati district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The town is a part of the Tirupati Urban mandal of the Tirupati revenue division. It is located atop the Venkatadri, one of the seven hills that form the Sapthagiri in the Seshachalam Hills of the Eastern Ghats. It houses the Venkateswara Temple, dedicated to Venkateswara, a form of Vishnu.
