Nippani is the name of both a city and a taluk in the Indian state of Karnataka. The city of that name is the third largest city in the district of Belagavi and an important agricultural and commercial trade and education centre. Nippani and its surrounding villages are known for growing high-quality tobacco that is rolled into beedis.
