Satkhira is a town and district headquarters of Satkhira District and Satkhira Sadar Upazila in Khulna Division, southwestern Bangladesh. The city has a population of about 138,000, making it the 35th largest city in Bangladesh. Satkhira also has a large proportion of the Sundarbans mangrove forest of Bangladesh.
